SpaceX seeks foreign trade zone designation at site in Bastrop County

As Elon Musk continues to move his companies to land east of Austin, none of them have boomed in Bastrop County more than SpaceX. In September 2023, it opened a 512,000-square-foot facility and is already working on doubling it. County documents pin the company's investment at $900 million already.
