Navy to collect Hensley Field soil samples as redevelopment plans inch ahead

The City of Dallas and the Navy have been in a back-and-forth legal battle over the contamination of the land that was long used as a military training ground. In 2022, Dallas approved a plan to turn the old airfield into a mixed-use neighborhood. But remaining contamination has pushed the plans back indefinitely.
