Leander's planning and zoning commission votes to deny 78-acre Leander Springs project

The project was announced to much fanfare in 2021 based on the promise that it would bring 1,600 apartments, a hotel and convention center, 1 million square feet of retail space and a four-acre tropical lagoon. But little work has been done since then.
