Here are some of the largest commercial building owners in the Austin area

The 2025 list of commercial building owners was compiled with help from CoStar Group Inc., who partnered with ABJ to generate ownership reports for the Austin area. The list is ranked by total s.f. and focuses on commercial properties across office, industrial and retail sectors. ABJ also relied on survey updates directly from owners, company websites, ABJ reporting and public documents, such as SEC disclosures. Data could not be independently verified by the Austin Business Journal. The list focuses on built structures. Ownership frameworks span REITs and investment groups to owner-developers and owner-occupied properties, such as Tesla and Apple. Acreage and planned projects were not considered. Multifamily, hospitality, governmental or educational holdings were not tracked.
