Fort Worth surpasses Austin in population; Dallas in slow-grow mode

Population is booming in parts of the Metroplex, but not in Dallas, its biggest city. Meanwhile, Fort Worth has overtaken Austin as the fourth-largest city in Texas. And one county east of Dallas posted the highest percentage growth of any county in the state between 2020 and Jan. 1, 2024.
