American Airlines updates policy on how crew handle passenger confrontations

Flight attendants are no longer permitted to remove a passenger unless they’re deemed a safety or security threat. The airline told DBJ it regularly reviews "policies, practices and protocols" and makes updates "to ensure we’re delivering for our customers throughout their journey with us."
